Hi, everyone! I just wanted to send an invitation for you to join me on Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm in the youth room in the church basement to watch the movie, “The Passion of the Christ.” I always try to watch the movie during Holy Week, and I am inviting the RCIA folks to attend as well.
A couple of things; if you haven’t seen the movie, it has subtitles, and you need to be aware that it is graphic – very violent and bloody; of course, the actual event WAS bloody. The movie is rather long – although it’s like reading the Bible with a vivid imagination…so what is too long?
The movie is rated “R,” so this is not really an ideal event for children.
We’ll have some snacks (and Kleenex), but you might want to bring your own drink. We just have to promise to clean up after ourselves!
