amily Promise

We will be hosting families the week of August 9-16.  A sign-up sheet for needed donations is in the Narthex.  There is also an insert in the bulletin that gives an update on the successes of Family Promise, in addition to giving you another opportunity to sign up to volunteer for this worthy cause.  Any help you can give is greatly appreciated! A sign-up sheet for needed donations is in the Narthex.  There is also an insert in the bulletin that gives an update on the successes of Family Promise in addition to giving you another opportunity to sign up to volunteer for this worthy cause.  Any help you can give is greatly appreciated!

Room set up Volunteers needed on Sunday afternoon August 9th.

Room re-set volunteers will need to reset the RE rooms on Sunday morning August 16 at 7 am.

2 overnight volunteers are needed each night Sunday August 9th, through Saturday, August 16th.  You will need  to be at the church by 8 pm.  The van will pick up families about 6:30 am and then you would be free to go.  We will provide a bed and fitted sheet, you will need to bring a blanket and pillow.

Dinner and fellowship volunteers needed Sunday, August 9th, Monday, August 10th, Tuesday, August 11th, Wednesday, August 12th, Thursday, Thursday August 13, Friday, August 14th and Saturday, August 15th.  We ask that you be ready to serve not later than 6:00 pm, this is earlier than in the past.  You would provide a meal cooked at your home or at the church(drinks and all dinnerware provided by MQP).  In the past we have paired families together for meal preparation.  Please let me know if you would like to prepare the meal on your own or be paired with another.  We suggest you plan to feed 18 people (FP families and MQP volunteers).  We have created a menu outline for the week to help avoid repeat meals and to provide a variety for the families.  Menu outline below.
