“The forgiveness of sins committed after Baptism is conferred by a particular sacrament called the sacrament of conversion, confession, penance, or reconciliation. (Catholic Catechism #1486)”
Parish requirements for children to celebrate First Reconciliation
- Parents are registered members of Mary, Queen of Peace Parish
- Child has been baptized and is at least seven years old
- Child has regularly attended religious education classes for at least one year
- Child is currently enrolled in the parish religious education program and regularly attends classes
- Parents attend a preparation class concerning the sacrament of Reconciliation
